Lenten Coin Drive Success!

Many thanks for the incredible generosity of so many of you during our Lenten Coin Drive. As a class we raised $250.00.

Today we visited the Free the Children website and the class decided on which items they wanted to purchase with the money.

We were able to purchase the following items to be donated to families and individuals in need:

  • two goats that will provide a sustainable income for families in need
  • clean water for life for two people
  • a school kit for a child
  • a bundle of baby chicks that will provide a sustainable income for a family in need
  • primary education for one child

Please visit the link below for more information about the items listed.

World Down Syndrome Day

We "Rocked Our Socks" in recognition of World Down Syndrome Day.

We also did a couple of awareness activities to help us gain a better understanding of some of the challenges that people with Down Syndrome may have.

Most importantly, we learned that people with Down Syndrome are pretty much just like us but with one little difference, they were born with an extra chromosome.

World Down Syndrome Day

Today we are celebrating World Down Syndrome Day with the theme "Lots of Socks".

Please take a moment to view the videos below for some great insights and information into living life with Down Syndrome.
