EQAO
Dear Class,
This week our Grade 3s will be writing the EQAO test. Being a part of EQAO is actually a pretty cool opportunity because the results help the government make decisions about how to improve our education system. They use the results from students all across the province to determine which areas we are doing a really great job with and which areas we need some more work in.
We have worked very hard this year in all areas of our learning and preparing for this test has been just one part of that. I know that each of you will continue to work hard and put forth your very best effort right up until the end of this school year.
I want you to remember, this is just one test, and it will only tell us a little bit about each of you. It will also tell a little bit about our whole class, but not nearly everything. It won't tell that one of us is a very talented magician, or that we have one of the best rappers around in our very own class, or that we have a group of incredible dancers in our room. It also won't show the commitment you have to taking care of our earth and the pride that you have in our recycling program. It will not show the kindness and compassion that you show, not only for each other, but for complete strangers who you will never even meet. This test will definitely not be able to measure the incredible amount of God's love that you share with each other every single day. It will just show a small part of what we know.
Do not be worried about this test or get frustrated if you get stuck on a question. Just do your best, move forward and remind yourself of all of the great things that you are capable of. Demonstrate your learning in your very own unique way.
Remember, you CAN do this!!

Good Luck Mrs. Mayor
We would like to thank Mrs. Mayor for being such a incredible part of our classroom this year. We wish her and her family well as they prepare to welcome their wonderful new addition to the family.
We would also like to welcome Ms. Edwards to the classroom. Ms. Edward will be replacing Mrs. Mayor for the remainder of the school year.

Welcome to Catholic Education Week 2016
Catholic Education Week Prayer
God of Love and compassion,
help us to open the door of mercy in our school communities,
in our families and in the world.
Let mercy guide our living and bring us closer to the heart of the gospel.
May we live as Jesus with mercy that welcomes, loves, forgives
and calls us to live the gospel joyfully. Amen.
